Who’dda thought tofu and tempeh were so in demand? I certainly didn’t, but I’m chuffed that there’s so many people out there wanting to learn more about these important soy bean products. The 11th February class is now sold out, so I’ve got another one planned for April 21st. See the Cooking Class page for more details.
In these introductory classes, there’s enough time to make tofu from scratch, but making tempeh is more involved. So, I’ve created a class dedicated to the task. It’s on April 28th, and will be completely hands on, so you’re sure to take the skills home with you. See the Cooking Class page for details.

I have never even thought to make my own. I can’t believe you actually can. I so wish I lived close enough to be at your classes
Nice to discover another Brisbane blog. I look forward to following your posts.
Hi Angela,
I was at your last class at Taste learning how to make Tofu.
Well I thought I would let you know I made a batch last night and it all turned out perfectly!
It did take a while but I followed your instructions and had no problems.
I plan to make the dry Szechuan Tofu tonight with it.
I have been eating tofu for 20 years think its about time I made it myself – tastes so much better. Thank you !!
Clare
Clare, that’s wonderful news. I’m so glad it turned out well! And I’m sorry for the delayed response. Poor me, been travellin’…
Wow, I would love to learn both of these! Congrats on the class being sold out
Alisha, Belle and Barbara,
Lovely to hear from you all. I’m glad you are as excited by tofu as I am! (and I’m really not being a all facetious, although it doesn’t sound like it…)
