Cooking Classes : The Good Soup

Cooking Classes

Here’s a list of my latest classes, jam-packed with flavourful recipes, stories about ingredients and tricky little kitchen techniques. Please note: the booking process for classes has changed. I’m now taking all bookings myself, so please call me on (07) 3103 7625 or email angela (at) thegoodsoup.com, if you’d like to attend a class.

Classes on offer from June until October:

Learning from the Soy Bean Masters: tofu and tempeh dishes for Indonesia and the Sichuan Provence

The Pleasures of Pressure Cooking

Spicy Pickles

Marmalades and Fruit Butters: making the most of citrus and pommes

The Magic of Meat Stocks

The Magic of Vegetable Stocks

If you like hearing about classes, and would like it even more if you were included in any early discount offers, last minute deals and exclusive events, then I’ve got a very special mailing list for you.

Just send an email to angela@thegoodsoup.com with ‘special mailing list’ in the subject heading. Or leave me a comment at the bottom of this post. I promise not to sell you to anyone, or bombard you with info (my frequency is around an email a fortnight, no more).

And if you’re wondering if the classes are any good, have a look here:

Also, here’s a list of classes that aren’t on the calendar yet, but will be soon.

List of previous classes, which will come around again in 2012.

I am a French tutor interesting in you hosting a French cooking class.
Have you got any prior experience with this?
I would potentially have 4-10 students at my home (small kitchen) or we could come to your studio.
What is the ideal group size?
Logistically, what do you provide? what recipes? what do we bring? what do we leave with?

    Apologies for all the queries.

    Hi Angela
Will you be holding another ‘Making Tempeh from Scratch’ class after April 28th. I can’t make it that day, its my daughters birthday. I am hoping I won’t miss out on a class!

    Hi Angela

My parents are visiting in Australia and they were so excited to hear about your vegetarian cooking classes to make tofu and tempeh from scratch but they’re only here from 16 Mar to 18 April !

Will you be holding any extra cooking classes? We’re all so keen (there would be 4 of us) and really really sad that your class timetable above falls just outside of our trip ;p

    From Dorene

Hi Angela! I would love to join your class… if only it’s closer :)
My friend and I recently made home-made tempeh with the guidance from Sri Owen’s Indonesian Food cookbook and it worked great. Didn’t realise about the ‘laborious’ process of peeling and separating the beans… it was all worth it at the end though. Hope you are well.

Hi! The tofu cooking class on Saturday was fantastic! I learned a lot and will try my hand at making tofu at home when I return to the US this summer. I have some photos that I would be happy to share with you via email if you’ll send your contact info.

Thanks very much for a great day!

Angela, hello again and thanks for the info. Have just returned from 2 months away and now have to move house for 6 months so presently cant do any courses at the best cook school in the world. But will do so at a later date.
    Best wishes

    Hi Angela,
I would love to be added to the special mailing list. I would also love to do a tofu cooking class and anything dairy free would suit me well also.
    Thank you!

    Hi Angela,

I am interested in knowing more about your cooking classes. Just wonder if you could provide the locations, cost and schedules of your classes in the year 2013. I am living in the southside of Brisbane (Eight Mile Plains).

    Thank you.

    Hi Angela,

I am just inquiring to see if you offer any beginners cooking classes. My partner is interested in taking a few, however, hes a little hopeless in the kitchen so my need to start from scratch. Please let me know, as I would be very interested in booking him some classes if you offer them.
